Composer & scheduling

The LetsPost composer lets you write once and publish everywhere — with per-platform caption overrides, AI-assisted captions, and flexible scheduling.

Opening the composer

Click Create Post in the top-right corner of any dashboard page, or navigate directly to /dashboard/create. The composer is a four-step wizard.

Step 1: Upload media

Drag a video file (MP4, MOV, WebM, or AVI) or click Choose file. LetsPost accepts files up to 4 GB. While the upload is in progress, transcoding starts automatically in the background — you can continue filling out the remaining fields without waiting.

Platform requirements are enforced automatically:

  • TikTokTikTok — vertical 9:16, max 10 min, up to 287.6 MB.
  • Instagram ReelsInstagram Reels — 9:16, max 90 s, up to 1 GB.
  • YouTube ShortsYouTube Shorts — max 60 s, up to 256 GB.
  • Facebook ReelsFacebook Reels — 9:16, max 90 s, up to 1 GB.

If your file doesn't meet a platform's requirements, LetsPost transcodes a separate copy for that platform rather than rejecting the upload.

Step 2: Write your caption

Type a caption in the main text area. It applies to all selected platforms by default. Toggle Platform-specific captions to open per-platform text areas — useful when you want different hashtag strategies or character-limit compliant variants.

AI caption assistant

Click ✨ AI caption to generate a caption from your video thumbnail and the context you provide. The assistant can:

  • Suggest hashtags and emoji
  • Adjust tone (professional, casual, hype)
  • Translate to a different language
  • Rewrite your draft for each platform

Free plan: 5 AI composes/month · Starter: 30 · Pro: 100 · Max: unlimited.

Step 3: Select platforms

Check the platforms you want to publish to. Only connected accounts appear here. Each platform shows a live post preview so you can spot aspect-ratio cropping or caption truncation before publishing.

The Audience score badge beside each platform shows an estimate of engagement potential based on your historical data and the best-time heatmap.

Step 4: Schedule or publish

Choose one of three options:

  • Publish now Publish now — adds the post to the immediate queue; it goes live within 60 seconds.
  • Schedule Schedule — pick a date and time. The scheduler uses the time zone configured in your profile settings. On the Free plan you can schedule up to 24 hours in advance; Starter: 7 days; Pro: 90 days; Max: unlimited.
  • Save as draft Save as draft — saves the post without scheduling it.

Best-time suggestions

The Best times heatmap on the Analytics page shows when your audience is most active, based on engagement data from your past posts. Click any cell to pre-populate the Schedule picker with that day and hour.

Editing and deleting posts

You can edit or delete a post any time before it reaches publishing state. Once publishing starts, the post is sent to the platform and can no longer be recalled through LetsPost — use the platform's own deletion tools.

Bulk upload

To create multiple posts at once, use the Bulk upload CSV importer. It supports up to 500 rows per file. Bulk upload CSV importer.
