WhatsApp Agent — setup guide

The LetsPost WhatsApp Agent lets you publish posts, check analytics, and manage your workspace directly from a WhatsApp conversation. Available on Pro and Max plans.

Requirements

  • A LetsPost Pro or Max subscription.
  • A WhatsApp account (personal or WhatsApp Business) on the phone number you want to use as the control interface.
  • At least one connected social account in your active profile.

Step 1: Enable the WhatsApp Agent

  1. Go to Dashboard → Integrations.
  2. Find the WhatsApp Agent card and click Connect.
  3. Enter your WhatsApp phone number in international format (e.g., +15551234567) and click Send verification code.
  4. You will receive a 6-digit OTP via WhatsApp. Enter it in the confirmation field and click Verify.

Once verified, you will receive a welcome message from the LetsPost bot confirming the connection.

Step 2: Authorise the bot number

Save the LetsPost bot number in your contacts. This is the number that will text you back when you send commands. The exact bot number is shown in the Integrations page after you connect.

If you are using a device that has WhatsApp Business installed, make sure the bot number is not flagged as spam. Tap the number → Mark as not spam if needed.

Step 3: Verify the connection

Send hi or status to the bot number. You should receive a reply listing your active profile and connected accounts. If you do not receive a reply within 30 seconds, check the Troubleshooting guide.

Changing your registered number

To change the number associated with the WhatsApp Agent, go to Integrations, click the kebab menu (⋯) on the WhatsApp Agent card, and select Change number. You will need to re-verify the new number.

Disconnecting the WhatsApp Agent

Click Disconnect on the WhatsApp Agent card. The bot will stop processing commands from your number immediately. Your LetsPost account, posts, and data are not affected.

Next steps

See the full list of commands in the Commands cheatsheet. If something isn't working, start with the Troubleshooting guide.
